Global Service Through Compassion and Action
The Women’s Welfare Department (WWD) serves humanity across the globe through its social service wing AMURTEL (Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team – Ladies). Managed and led by dedicated women, these projects empower disadvantaged communities, uplift children, and provide education, healthcare, and relief during times of need.
Here are some of the ongoing WWD service projects around the world:
India
Chennai, Tamil Nadu
A vibrant kindergarten serving around 100 underprivileged children aged 4–6 years.
Jaipur, Rajasthan
An orphanage run by Didi Ananda Gautami, home to 15 children in a peaceful, green community.
Uma Nivas, West Bengal
A primary school with 60 students focused on holistic education.
Mongolia
Lotus Children’s Centre
NGO home to 80 vulnerable and abused children, also providing community outreach programs.
Thailand
Baan Unrak Children’s Home, Karnchaburi
A safe home for stateless and disadvantaged children, from toddlers to teens.
Romania
AMURTEL Romania
Founded in 1995, offering inclusive education for children with special needs and support for abandoned youth.
United States of America

A nonprofit supporting women and children through education, health, agriculture, and leadership projects.

Present for 20+ years, providing schools, clinics, literacy programs, reforestation, microcredit, and women’s leadership programs.
